We start our asphalt paving jobs with a plan.

When you receive a written proposal from Midwest Asphalt Maintenance, Inc. your getting more than an estimate – you’re getting a plan. We have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that the job is done right the first time and on schedule.

A thorough site inspection permits us to become familiar with the specific conditions of the project, to prevent costly surprises as the job progresses.  The condition of the pavement determines whether or not it needs to be resurfaced or totally reconstructed.

At Midwest Asphalt we can take care of both processes. With the asphalt resurfacing process, we would normally wedge or repair the bad deteriorated areas as needed, Mill along cement where it is flush with the existing asphalt to lower asphalt for the new surface, fully clean pavement, apply an ss1h bond coat (a liquid bonding material), then proceed to add an overlay of about 1.50″ to 2.00″ typically.

The total reconstruction process would normally include removal of all asphalt material, rebuilding of drains if needed, addition of new sub base materials as needed, then new bituminous base followed by the new wearing surface.
